The HB 50 Series offers a range of low cost high efficiency converters in the 25 to 50 Watt power range in an industry standard half-brick package. All models have a 2:1 input range including: 9-18VDC, 18-36VDC and 36-75VDC. Single output voltages of 2.5VDC to 24VDC cover the most popular applications. Isolation voltage is 1500VDC minimum. Switching frequency of 300kHz results in efficiencies up to 85%. A power saving On/Off function can put the converter in an "idle" mode. All output voltages are regulated, low ripple and do not require external components to meet published specifications. Sense terminals allow regulated voltage operation with relatively long load leads. Output voltage can be trimmed precisely within ±10% by using external trim resistors. Operating case temperature is -40°C to +100°C. Built-in safety features include continuous short circuit protection and thermal shut down in the event the case temperature exceeds 100°C.
